Launching and Running a Business: Top Tips Shared by Branding Expert Rachel McCord.

She went from starting her first business with just $93 to her name, to becoming known as the “Master of Branding” thanks to the success of her company, The McCord List.

Rachel McCord is now sharing her knowledge about entrepreneurship on the upcoming series, Female Founders, which will see the 33-year-old host interview the likes of Kristin Cavallari and Molly Sims about what it really takes to run a company.

Speaking EXCLUSIVELY to DailyMail.com about the new venture, the star—who launched her own events company in Las Vegas for under $100—revealed why she’s so passionate about helping empower women in business, and shared some of her top tips for those. who are eager to launch their own brands.

“I feel like it’s an important moment in history to be able to share these messages of women,” she gushed. I was so inspired by the number of women who came forward… I personally wanted to learn from these women.

The mother-of-one continued, “It’s such an honor to have so many wonderful founders attending the show. We were really excited to partner with not only Bloomberg, but also so many other outlets to get these messages out.”

She added, “Just getting a chance to sit down with these amazing women who’ve fought through major obstacles; They have been silenced in boardrooms, isolated, boycotted and shut down, and faced many challenges.

We know that women today receive only about 2 to 3 percent of all investment capital. It’s mad. At the same time, you’re seeing such amazing results from female founders.

“So being able to be a part of this amazing movement and see the women who are not only attending the show, but gathered behind our amazing foundations has been very inspiring.”

Reflecting on some of the best advice she’s been given so far while presenting the show, Rachel said: ‘I think my favorite tip was to start today. Don’t be afraid, don’t wait for tomorrow. Tomorrow is not promised. Just come now and give it your all.

She continued, “Another is to narrow your focus and win. Seeing these women so focused on cracking down and winning because of that… I think that’s really important. This is what I personally focus on right now in my work and in my life in general.

Rachel continued, “Just being willing to say no to things so I can say yes to something else.” Realize that every time you say yes to one thing, you are saying no to another. So make sure you are really intentional in your choices.

LaunchPreneur also opened up about hearing other women in business discuss the ways they have to “grind, hustle, and push through walls, barriers, and glass ceilings you didn’t think possible,” advising others to prepare for such obstacles.

Recalling previous meetings in which the men in the room had automatically assumed her husband, co-founder Rick Shermer, was running the show, Rachel explained that she had found a way to use him to her advantage.

I was getting frustrated with that. She explained that it’s actually very common and it’s sad. Now what I do is use that time to take a step back and read the room. I take time to see, “What should I do here? What can I change?”. I am able to appear with more intent.

Elsewhere, the judge on Elevator Pitch highlighted the importance of taking time away from work on your job to ensure you don’t become overwhelmed with responsibilities.

Rachel shared a selection of items she called her “Queen’s List” to turn to when you’re having a rough day.

“I walk, do lavender, listen to my music. I draw, paint, read positive words. I have read the Bible.” “There are certain things I do that bring me back in check.”

And she continued, “I amIf you don’t, you may not be able to return for monitoring and other things will suffer. For me, I move too fast because I have to. I don’t feel like I can take a bad day and why should I have one? “

The star noted that some women often feel that where they come from in life can be a hindrance when trying to start a business, but the star credited her career journey as a sign to never hold yourself back.

Rachel grew up in a trailer park in Georgia, Atlanta, and went through the experiences and abuse that became part of her relentless drives in life.

After doing an inner work to open focus to her goal, Rachel now hopes to be an inspiration to others.

She explained, “I really relate to ‘why. ‘ I really think the reason I somehow got out of the trailer park, which isn’t a bad place to be anyway, is because, to me, it was important.”

I wanted to do something with my life that I could share with my kids one day. It was really important to me to be able to build something for myself.

Rachel continued, “The reason I succeed is because I have a greater purpose in my life.”

The star later added, “I think I owe it to myself to say that what I went through is not my future, but I can use what I went through to inspire others. I am attending and doing something that matters, that makes a difference, that is full of purpose.

In this way, it helps me become a better entrepreneur. It helps me emerge as a better leader.
