The family of Randall “Randy” Cook, 59, who was killed while making a delivery as an Uber Eats driver, was remembered as a devoted family man who worked hard to support his family’s dreams of living by the ocean.
Police said Cook was killed by MS-13 gang member Oscar Solis Jr., 30, while delivering his last food on April 19 in Florida around 6:30 p.m.
His dismembered remains were later found in garbage bags that Solis and another person had removed from the house. Cook’s blood and wedding ring were also discovered in the house.
His murder left his family and the local community in shock
Cook’s daughter, Melanie Dzoba, described him as “the most perfect guy” and “such a happy guy” who was always trying to have fun.

Stepdaughter, Brittany Dzuba, tearfully shared her mother and Cook moved to Pasco from Seminole County to be closer to the ocean, reflecting his family’s dream of living near the coast.

He was the most perfect man. What a happy man. I mean, we all go through our ups and downs. We’re all still human, but he–he was always so happy and just trying to have fun and laugh–all the time,” WFTS in an interview.
Cook met Dzoba’s mother in 2012, and the couple married in 2020.
“It was a relationship I always hoped for,” she explained. Just conjoined at the hip. Soulmates to the end.
She said, “I still have voicemail on my phone from last Monday with just his voice telling me how much he loves me and how much he is there for me.”

The couple was pictured enjoying Christmas celebrations together. Randall posted about his desire to find a new job in the weeks leading up to his horrific murder
Although he was a graphic designer by trade, he also did deliveries for UberEats to generate some extra income.
“He just had to do anything he could to make ends meet, you know,” she said. “Randy made everything better,” said Dzuba.
“I love my mother to death,” she exclaimed. “I hate to see her like this.”
“Just knowing she has to come home every day her husband isn’t there.” They have shared so many wonderful memories together.
There is no way someone in their right mind would do such a thing. I mean, it doesn’t make sense. Dzuba said the small details don’t add up.
His friends and Cook’s family struggle to understand the senseless act of violence that took his life.
Solis, who was affiliated with MS-13 in Indiana, was released and sent to Florida in January and had a lengthy criminal record, including resisting arrest along with a charge of stabbing a fellow inmate.
Prison records show Solis facing murder charges while involved in a robbery, failure to register as a convicted felon, and violating parole.
Authorities are still trying to determine the motive for Cooke’s killing, but his loved ones are baffled by the seemingly random killing.

“You’re talking about a violent person who was released by Indiana and sent to Florida,” Sheriff Chris Nuku said at a news conference.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Solis worked security at a strip club, according to the affidavit.
Evidence collected in the case includes blood found in various places around the house and a piece of keys belonging to Cook that was found in Solis’ locker, above his wallet.
Solis’ roommate gave authorities access to surveillance video that showed Cook approaching the house to deliver it.
The affidavit also says that Cooke’s car was found abandoned a short distance away, and inside it was a trash bag containing blood soaked rags and towels, a Door Dash bag like one Cooke carried and a work time card with Solis’ name on it.
Investigators also obtained surveillance video from the home showing Cook delivering food and, later, two Hispanic men carrying heavy garbage bags outside.
Cook was reported missing by his wife after he did not return home from his birth.
