The Preakness Stakes is the second race of the Triple Crown, which also includes the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes. The winner of the 2023 Kentucky Derby, Mage, is competing at this year’s Preakness Stakes.

This year’s race will be the 148th running of the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. The Preakness Stakes is for three-year-old thoroughbreds, and has a race distance of 1.19 miles. The event will feature seven horses competing for a prize purse of $1.5 million.
NBC and Peacock will also broadcast the final race in this year’s Triple Crown: the Belmont Stakes on June 10.
