NNA – House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday welcomed at the Second Presidency in Ain El-Tineh, Head of the Center of Scientific and Analytical Information of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dr. Nikolay Plotnikov, and an accompanying delegation, in the presence of Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov.
Discussions reportedly touched on the general situation in Lebanon and the region.
Speaker Berri also met with Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) Chief and Head of the ldquo;Democratic Gatheringrdquo; bloc, MP Taymour Jumblatt, accompanied by a delegation from the quot;Democratic Gathering.quot;

The delegation included quot;Democratic Gatheringquot;nbsp;MPs Akram Shehayeb, Wael Abou Faour and Hadi Abou El Hessen, as well as PSP leader#39;s Advisor Houssam Harb.nbsp;
The meeting also took place in the presence of House Speaker Nabih Berri#39;s Political Aide, MPnbsp;Ali Hassan Khalil.nbsp;
On emerging, MPnbsp;Jumblatt described relationship with Speaker Berri as historical and patriotic, voicing support for Berri#39;s dialogue callnbsp;over presidential election issue.
