NNA – Head of the Lebanese Economic Committees, former minister Mohammad Choucair, on Thursday welcomed at the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber headquarters, UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka.
Discussions reportedly touched on the latest political, economic and social developments in the country, especially the election of the President of the Republic and the regular work of the constitutional institutions.
Both sides stressed the need to expedite the election of the President of the Republic and the formation of a new government to immediately startnbsp;approving and implementing a rescue financial and economic recovery plan, as well as enactingnbsp;comprehensive reforms and agreeing with the International Monetary Fund.
Both also emphasized lsquo;rsquo;the need to implement broad social support programs to protect the Lebanese society.quot;
