This is the shocking moment a Los Angeles bus driver stole the wallet of an 86-year-old woman who was lying on the ground after another man knocked her unconscious.
The incident happened around 2:40 p.m. on August 8 in the Adams-Normandie district in the south of the city.
Footage from a subway bus surveillance camera showed several people standing around the victim, doing nothing.
Suddenly, a man steals his wallet from the unconscious and incapacitated woman’s purse.
Several people tried to intervene but were unable to prevent the man from fleeing.

Patrol officers were eventually called to the scene, where the woman was “seriously injured” in the initial assault, according to the LAPD.
One of the suspects – the man who originally assaulted the woman – was taken into custody shortly after officers from the South West were directed to him.
Firefighters and paramedics eventually intervened to attend to the victim, who was sent to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
She eventually woke up but could not remember what had happened to her or the assault due to a head injury.
The man who robbed the victim is still at large, having fled the crime scene with his wallet.

The suspect was wearing a New York Yankees jacket, dark beanie, dark pants and gray shoes.
It was believed that he was in his 40s or 50s and had either a mustache or a goatee. The victim and the first suspect who committed the assault have not been identified.
