Robert Irwin has opened up about how pursuing his twin passions in life forged a meaningful bond with his father, the late Steve Irwin.
The new co-host of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! opened to The courier post on Monday about how practicing nature photography connects him to his father.
Steve Irwin died in 2006 after a stingray stabbed him through the heart, when Robert was just two years old.
Last year, Robert received critical acclaim for his debut book on photography, ‘Robert Irwin’s Australia.’
“You know, all I wanted all my life was to be just like Dad, but also find my own place in his world,” the teen began.

Robert also claimed that his photography played a crucial role in continuing his father’s legacy of conservation.
“This is one of my ways to continue his work,” he added.
It comes as Robert and his girlfriend Rorie Buckey oozed style and sophistication as they posed for the cameras at the Earthshot Prize conservation awards in Singapore last week.

The natural warrior traded his signature khaki pants for a smart black suit and tie, which he paired with a crisp white shirt.
Irwin’s blonde hair was freshly styled and he couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he posed up a storm with his beautiful girlfriend.
Robert seemed completely in awe of his beautiful date and kept an arm wrapped around her waist as they made their way across the green carpet.
Meanwhile, Rorie, 19, turned heads in an elegant, figure-hugging floral dress with ruffles that showed off her stunning curves.
She carried a designer handbag and let her luscious blonde hair hang in loose waves around her shoulders.
The lovebirds stayed close together as they made their grand entrance at the exclusive event, showing off their best angles for the cameras.
