Practically anyone who has used the Dyson Airwrap before will tell you that yes, the price tag is indeed worth it. Speaking with Business Insider for our review of the Dyson Airwrap, celebrity hair colorist Jenna Perry (whose clientele includes Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa) said that she’s been a fan of the Airwrap since its initial launch. “The original Airwrap provided a new way to a salon-level style at home without the fear of heat damage,” Perry said. “What I love most about the new model are the upgrades — the reengineered curling barrels that don’t require changing if you want to alter the direction of your curls, and the smoothing dryer and brushes that give my wavy and thick hair a more polished look.”
When I picked up the new Airwrap for the first time, I was shocked by how incredibly lightweight it was considering how much power is packed into this one tool. Of course, that cost is something to reckon with, but its sale price this holiday shopping season presents an opportunity to see what the hype is all about for less.
The Dyson Airwrap’s attachments are actually much more beginner-friendly than they may seem, making it a great gift for anyone who could use help streamlining their hairstyling process. There are two versions for long hair or short hair, with three curling barrels of varying widths that are easily interchangeable with a simple click-and-twist. The long-hair version is the one on sale for Black Friday, but even if you have shorter hair, it’s still very easy to use (and guarantees that if you grow your hair out, you won’t end up regretting your purchase). You can also dry and brush hair all at once with the small soft smoothing brush or large round volumizing brush.
