A Texas cheerleading coach and mother of three has been found dead in her apartment while her boyfriend faces murder charges just weeks after their one-year anniversary.
Rosalin Lewis, 24, suffered “blunt force trauma” before her body was discovered last week, Jasper police confirmed.
Police arrested Lewis’ friend, 23-year-old William Christian Thomas, in connection with the murder that rocked the community.
The beloved cheerleading coach left behind three children: Alakai, 2, Aria, 3, and Kaelum 5, according to a GoFundMe campaign set up by her mother, Schwanda Scott.
The tragedy occurred just weeks after the couple’s one-year anniversary, when Thomas posted a celebratory video of the loved-up couple embracing with the caption “my world.”

The tragedy occurred just weeks after the couple’s one-year anniversary, when the 23-year-old suspect posted a celebratory video with the caption “my world.”
“Rosalin was a beloved daughter, niece, sister, granddaughter, goddaughter, cousin, best friend, cheer coach and mother of three beautiful children,” Lewis’ mother wrote.

Jasper Police officers were called to the Myrtis Village Apartments in Jasper, Texas around 4 a.m. last Saturday and found Lewis’ body, at a local station. 12News reported.
The devastating death occurred just days after she promoted a fundraiser on social media for Beautiful Stars Cheer & Dance, a local dance group she founded with her mother when she was in high school.
Police said the beloved cheerleading coach died of “blunt force trauma.”
Jasper police quickly arrested her 23-year-old Thomas and charged him with murder.
He is being held in the Jasper County Jail on a $1 million bond on murder charges local outlets.
Before she was brutally murdered, Thomas shared a number of photos of them together on social media.
A collage of the pair on a football field holding each other, posted by Thomas, read: ‘I couldn’t get her out of my head if I tried, my obsession.’

Lewis was best known as ‘RoRo’ or ‘Coach Ro’ and trained several cheerleading groups.
Her mother said she was “taken from her family by a malicious act of someone she trusted and once loved.”
“Her lifelong dream was to become a veterinary tech and continue leading and coaching beautiful stars to the state championship,” the description on the GoFundMe revealed.
“In addition to being Head Cheer Coach of Beautiful Stars, she also coached Jasper Youth Cheer while teaching private cheer lessons.
“Rosalin’s impact was so amazing that every young girl she trained became a cheerleader for Jasper High School.”
As of Friday evening, the GoFundMe campaign had raised more than $2,000.
