Sam Altman is enjoying married life.
The OpenAI CEO told LGBTQ+ outlet Advocate in an interview published Friday that he “feels better” now married to his husband, software engineer Oliver Mulherin.
“It’s actually great,” Altman told the outlet in response to a question about married life. “I was expecting it not to feel any different or better; however, it does feel different and feels better. I’m very happy.”
The news of Altman and Mulherin’s wedding leaked in January after photos of the ceremony, posted on Altman’s private Instagram account, circulated online.
Business Insider confirmed that the wedding occurred via a source who attended it and stated that they are “not AI-generated images.”
Altman told the Advocate that although the news of his wedding leaked in January, the nuptials occurred “a couple of months ago.”
Altman, who lives with Mulherin at a private ranch in Napa, California, has kept his relationship with the Australian software engineer fairly under wraps but recently revealed to New York Magazine that the pair want to have kids soon.
