Patrick Mahomes ‘decided’ he would win the Super Bowl on Jan. 5, according to a text shared by his wife Brittany while paying tribute to him on social media Tuesday.
Mahomes sent him a text message on Jan. 5 saying, “I’ve decided we’re going to win the Super Bowl” and another on Jan. 28, shortly after his Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens, saying, “I’ll see you guys.” everyone in Las Vegas.” I have not finished.’
Mahomes has won three Super Bowls at the age of 28 and is already planning how to lead the team to an unprecedented “three wins” next season.
For now, as he prepares for Wednesday’s Super Bowl parade in Kansas City, his wife was praising him on Instagram.
‘This season was special!’ Brittany wrote alongside the image. “This guy never stopped believing in his team…through the ups and downs and all the skeptics, he never doubted this team,” she said.

She shared a text of Patrick ‘deciding’ on January 5 to win the Super Bowl with the Chiefs.
Mahomes has now won the Super Bowl three times with the Chiefs at the age of 28.
‘He is a true leader and a team player. He went on to wonder what he could do better to get this team to the Super Bowl.
‘I saw so many things behind the scenes that I will always be in awe of you as a person and as a football player! You, my boy, deserved this!!! I love you and I am always and forever proud of you.’
Patrick has already talked about the opportunity the Chiefs have to win three consecutive Super Bowls, an achievement that has never been achieved before.
“It’s legendary, no one has ever done it,” Mahomes said Monday. “No one has ever done it and we knew it’s legendary to win back-to-back.”
I think eight other teams have done it. We had heard it all week. We had talked to the guys about it and we felt like we had the best opportunity we’d ever had to go out and do that.
‘We have to keep playing our best football. We’ll celebrate the next few weeks and then we’ll do it again.’
And they will celebrate, with the Chiefs kicking off the Valentine’s Day Super Bowl parade starting at 11 a.m. in Kansas City.
