Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer’s wife has died.
Linda Kramer passed away on Wednesday 22 June at the age of 55. An official cause of death has not yet been announced.
The Kramers had been married for over 13 years and the musician referred to her as “the love of his life,” in her obituary in the Boston Herald†
It read that “Linda loved Joey very much and that his well-being and happiness were her top priority,” and that she especially “loved her family and especially her nieces and nephews.”

Joey once described meeting Linda as “the biggest rush you’ve ever had in your life,” as noted in the obituary, which went on to say: “Friends and family have always commented that Joey and Linda were just ‘inseparable.’ ‘
Just a day before her death, Linda took to her Twitter page to wish her husband a happy 72nd birthday. And it turns out she felt exactly the same about Joey in terms of the love they shared.
‘Happy Birthday to the love of my LIFE!!’ she gushed, adding, “You are the most wonderful man with the biggest heart I know. I love you, my dear boy.’

Linda was born in Decatur, Georgia, on February 27, 1967, but the family eventually moved to Houston, Texas in 1971, when she was four years old.
She graduated from Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston, in the class of 1985.
In the obituary, Linda was described as someone who “he loved to laugh” and had “a wicked, mischievous sense of humor.” It also revealed her “unshakable love for their beautiful family dogs, Lucy and Cosmo” and that she had “an insatiable concern for the well-being of children everywhere.”
Most recently, she worked in the high-tech industry as a contract manager for Hewitt Packard.

“Unfortunately, he has made the decision to sit out the band’s 2022 concerts so that he can focus his full attention on his family during these uncertain times,” the group said in a statement. USA today in March, adding, “He and the band are looking forward to his future performances with Aerosmith.”
Those residency dates were eventually canceled in May when lead singer Steven Tyler sought treatment after a relapse into his sobriety following recent surgery.

There are currently no memorial services planned. The services will be held by the family at a later date.
Linda Kramer leaves behind her husband, her parents, her three sisters, her step-siblings, her stepson Jesse and many cousins, among many others.
Joey Kramer has been a member of Aerosmith since its founding in 1970.
